POWER OF TOGETHER SURVEY

New survey assesses post-COVID cultural and communication challenges for business

Hybrid working. Physical disconnection in the workplace. We launch a new survey this week to understand how businesses and employees are coping.

New survey assesses post-COVID cultural and communication challenges for business

A new survey by Pancentric's consultancy team and HUB, Pancentric's industry leading intranet solution, is assessing the cultural and employee communication challenges faced by UK Insurance and Law firms post COVID.

The survey is supported by Modern Insurance Magazine and Modern Law Magazine.

Cultural and job motivation challenges

As the dust settles on hybrid working policies, global evidence is emerging of cultural and job motivation challenges across all types of businesses.

According to research firm Qualtrics, job motivation jumped 10% during COVID but has since fallen to below pre-COVID levels.

This new survey - called the Power of Together survey - seeks to understand the state of play in the UK insurance and legal sectors specifically. It asks firms about their current policies on work from home, what impact post-COVID working policies are having on culture, team connection and individuals; and what impact is being felt on productivity and operations. Are their concerns? Are firms adopting new approaches to their internal comms? What are the priorities going forward?

The changing face of team communications

Says Pancentric Digital Director, Martin Boswell:

“We saw a significant increase in the use of email for internal comms when COVID first hit. Email offered a fast and familiar way for managers to deliver key messages directly to staff about operational changes, news & support, lockdown advice and much more.

As COVID progressed, email activity reduced with firms looking for more sustainable, community driven mechanisms like social intranets and digital hubs where resources could be shared easily and collaboration improved. This coincided with the rise of cloud based working. Enquiries for our HUB intranet software leapt by 70% during COVID and demand has remained strong. It will be fascinating to understand these sectors' take on their current challenges and the latest approaches taking shape.”

Survey supporters Modern Insurance Magazine and Modern Law Magazine are encouraging leaders and managers across their respective sectors to participate in the survey. The widest possible set of views is welcomed.

Take part in the survey

It only takes a few minutes and all responses are anonymous. Modern Insurance Magazine and Modern Law Magazine will publish the results later this year. Plus, a free copy of the full findings is available to all those that choose to leave their email.

Pancentric Digital is committed to climate action and sustainable workplaces, so has partnered with the reforestation charity One Tree Planted to plant a tree for every survey response received. Plus one lucky participant will receive a year's Flourishy subscription worth £160, to help transform their garden into a diverse haven for bees and wildlife.
