Global Risk Partners (GRP) is one of the largest independent insurance intermediaries in the UK - highly acquisitive and fast growing. Pancentric was engaged in late 2018 to create a ‘digital playbook’ to help align their company acquisitions and drive returns from an expanding business portfolio.
Making acquisition work
GRP was a busy acquirer in 2018 but this comes digital headaches - a myriad of inherited websites, portals, platforms and different servicing models. Digital oversight is challenging and Group-wide marketing & servicing initiatives unrealistic.
The true test of acquisition success is ensuring the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. Getting 'digital' right is a key factor in this - to leverage the expanded reach of the Group, to drive incremental revenues and improve customer experience.
Migration to a single platform
Pancentric's 'digital playbook' solution was to migrate GRP's disparate web estate of 50+ sites to a single new management platform complete with common code base and standardised implementation toolkit.
The implementation toolkit enabled branding customisation for each of the acquired businesses allowing them to keep their original identity whilst being clearly part of the Group stable and benefiting from its endorsement - 'powered by GRP'.
A key GRP strategy is to let acquired businesses stay recognisable and familiar to their customer base and build on their established reputation.
With the platform in place, GRP can now on-board acquired businesses into its digital fold quickly, easily and cost-effectively. The acquired businesses benefit from an upgraded web presence, clearer integration with the GRP name and centrally coordinated digital marketing support. Customers across the Group benefit from a consistently better online experience.
“This is a great solution for the businesses we’ve acquired and we've been impressed with the service received from Pancentric. Over time the initiative will deliver a significant uplift in reputation, profile and web leads, and is another example of the ‘powered by GRP’ advantage. This is powerful integration in action.”

Platform for future growth
Going forward, digital standards are easily managed regardless of commercial growth pressures and there is now a platform for testing and rolling out more ambitious online servicing initiatives - the next phase. The GRP digital playbook is built on Umbraco, a highly flexible open-source content management system using the Microsoft infrastructure.
